efficient frontier seeks a senior software engineer to develop user interfaces for the web. as a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for end-to-end ownership including design, implementation, deployment, and resolving support issues. you will work with a core team responsible for the entire product life cycle and will have significant responsibilities for design and implementation.
principal duties and responsibilities
design and develop elegant and responsive user interfaces for the web
work with product management to break down high level goals into tasks and timelines
provide thoughtful input at all stages of product development
requirements
bachelors in computer science or equivalent experience
5+ years of java ui development experience is necessary
have a very strong understanding of and demonstrated experience with the google web toolkit (gwt)
proficiency in using jdbc, spring, javascript, json, ajax, html, css
detailed oriented, quality conscious, with an eye toward simplicity
good communication skills - be able to articulate technical decisions and produce excellent technical documents
industry experience in hosted software, search engine marketing, internet or e-commerce
thrive in a startup environment - learn and become productive quickly and meet goals with minimum supervision
oracle or mysql or postgres database and sql knowledge is a big plus
